Dominique Besnehard

Dominique Besnehard has had a career like no other: assistant director for Jacques Doillon (notably for la Drôlesse/The Hussy), supporting actor, casting director and agent, he has discovered and represented an amazing array of French talents over the past 30 years, including actresses such as Juliette Binoche, Sophie Marceau, Isabelle Adjani, actors like Yvan Attal or Charles Aznavour and directors such as François Ozon or Claire Denis, to name only a few! He recently produced the film, Foreign Body (Corps étranger). He is also known in France as the host of a cinema show on Canal+: “Un ticket pour deux.” Since 2008, he has been the co-founder of the leading Festival du Film Francophone d’Angoulême, showcasing movies from all over the French-speaking world. Through the years, he has constantly brought people, movies and organizations together for the greater good of Cinema. 2015 marked the beginning of a long relationship between Le Festival Francophone d’Angoulême and Focus on French Cinema.

Dominique Besnehard presented Foreign Body (Corps étranger) and Max and Leon (La Folle histoire de Max & Léon) at FFC 2017.
