Cinemania welcomes FFC 2017 Honored Guest Claude Lelouch

The FFC 2018 team will be on their way to Cinemania in Montreal the week of November 2-12, 2017 .

Founded in 1995 by Maidy Teitelbaum and curated by FFC partner and Directeur Général, Guilhem Caillard, Cinemania is dedicated to French-language films from around the Francophone world -all with English subtitles.

The complete line-up for Cinemania has just been announced in addition to the Opening and Closing Night films that team FFC saw in Angoulême.

Le Sens de la Fête (C’est la vie) by Olivier Nakache and Eric Toledano (L’Intouchable) will be the Opening Night film. Also featured in Angoulême this summer,  this hysterical comedy  takes place at a hectic wedding party in a 17th century French palace and  features Jean – Pierre Bacri, Gilles Lellouche, and Vincent Magaigne at their funniest!

Au Revoir Là Haut (See you up there), the closing night film is a magnificent phantasmagorical drama directed by Albert Dupontel ( 9 mois ferme/9 month stretch at  Opening Night of FFC  2014),  Premiering at Angoulême as the Opening Night film this summer, Au Revoir Là Haut received a standing ovation. Based on the book by Pierre Lemaitre that won Le Prix Goncourt in 2013 the film takes place before the Armistice in 1918. Starring Albert Dupontel, Laurent Lafitte of La Comédie Française, Niels Arestrup, Emilie Duquenne and Mélanie Thierry, Au Revoir Là Haut is a magnificent and breathtaking film- – almost impossible to describe … un bijou that this writer would love to see at FFC 2018.
