Synopsis
A brutally tough drama set in a Damascus apartement where a family with a tragic secret have barricaded themselves,effectively imprisoned by the civil war outside, this nerve-wracking study of life in Damascus won an audience award at Berlinale. Hiam Abbas plays Yazan, the stern matriarch who through sheer force of will is keeping her family safe.
